Buying Advice

  • Set a Realistic Budget
    • Always speak to an independent financial adviser prior to viewing properties to establish a realistic budget, paying particular attention to stamp duty, solicitors fees, surveys and mortgage broker fees. In addition look at your mortgagepayments, insurance, service charges, ground rents, removal costs and refurbishment costs.
  • Get to Know the Area
    • Purchase a map and walk around the area to check schools, shops, transport etc. Also make sure you visit the area again in the evening.
  • Be clear of the True Market Value
    • Always view as many properties as you can within your price range. This will enable you to make an informed decision on whether the price is correct on your chosen property.
